The Episode starts with Chhan Chhan coming in the hall in a saree. Umaben asks you wearing a saree. Chhan Chhan says she feels clothing dies not show respect, but I think of your happiness and worn this saree. She speaks well, Babuji feels happy. Chhan Chhan says I will always listen to you, as I live in a joint family now. I know how to keep the family united. Babuji says go, be happy. Manav is happy. Umaben says you thought so much, its good, she blesses Chhan Chhan. She asks did you eat anything, lets go. Umaben’s plan got failed. Babuji asks Umaben did you give her permission to wear suit. Umaben lies saying Chhan Chhan pleaded to her so she granted her to wear suits. Umaben says I know you don’t want the family to tear apart, so I permitted her. Babuji says ok, but what Chhan Chhan said, I can tell she is really good, and have good family values. Babuji leaves.
Manav comes to Chhan Chhan and hugs her. She asks him you came back, he says I came back to take my bag and flirts with her. She says thanks Manav, you helped me in wearing this saree. She thinks how Manav helped her. Chhan Chhan gets a call from her dad. She asks him to go to office. She takes up the call. Karthik says they are missing her a lot, as he lost his spects. He pretends as he is joking. Chhan Chhan tells him it will be on your head, he says yes, I got it, how did you know, Chhan Chhan says daughters know everything. Karthik asks how was your morning, what did you make today, she says Umaben is nice, she does not let me work. She says she permitted me to wear salwar suits, but I said I will obey them and be as her other bahus.
Maithili says now you will make excuses to talk to your daughter. Karthik says I felt good hearing good for Umaben. Maithili says Umaben will keep our daughter happy. Chhan Chhan asks Gomuti to eat, she tells its our fast, we cannot eat. Gomuti says we will eat at night. Umaben comes, Chhan Chhan says Gomuti will be tired by the fast, so I will help them in cooking. Umaben tells them that Chhan Chhan will be preparing food today, that too alone.
Chhan Chhan is shocked that the whole responsibility came on her. Chhan Chhan says yes I will make it. Umaben says her what to make. Chhan Chhan gets tensed. Umaben asks her bahus to go and do their own work. Umaben asks Chhan Chhan to call her when she made the food. The bahus laugh on Chhan Chhan. They start leaving from there. When actors take U-turns
It is not uncommon for actors to be replaced in TV shows. But there have been many cases where stars leave the show, only to return to play the same role again. Most TV actor who decide to call it quits do it due to sheer boredom of playing the same character for years. While some succeed in
breaking the image they’ve been typecast in by taking on more exciting projects, many fail and return to the familiar surroundings of their previous show.
Actors return when they realise they aren’t able to break the image of their hit show. Audiences, too don’t always accept the sudden change and want their favourite actors to continue playing the role they are loved for. Channels often conduct surveys and have research wings to keep a tab on the pulse and mood of their viewers.
To appease the audience, they modify story lines as per need; even replace actors for the greater good of the show, like in case of Farhan Khan in Chhanchhan who was replaced by Anuj Sachdev.
Online forums and social networking media too lend a helping hand in figuring out how well a particular actor works in a certain character.
Kavita Kaushik quit hit show FIR earlier this year, only to return in a few months. Recently Ankita Lokhande returned to her show, Pavitra Rishta after the makers’ attempts to bring on board someone who could step into her shoes failed. Many years ago, Smriti Irani had quit Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi after apparently a tiff with Ekta Kapoor.
Though Gautami Gadgil replaced her, dwindling TRPs forced Ekta to mend fences with Smriti and get her back on the show. When Barun Sobti decided to quit Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, the makers had to pull the show off air.
The fact of the matter is that the audience is as influential as the makers of any show. And many a times, it has brought back actors to resume their hit roles on popular TV soaps.

A clash between tradition and modernity
Actress Sanaya Irani, who plays the title role in telly show Chhanchhan, is excited about the way its storyline is developing. Chhanchhan is a modern girl who falls in love with — and marries — a guy from a traditional family. The story, a typical clash between tradition and modernity, revolves around how Chhanchhan tackles her extremely conservative and manipulative mother-in-law.
"Just because Chhanchhan is modern, it doesn't mean she has no values. My character is not averse to adjustments, it's just that she wants her in-laws to adjust too. But adjusting becomes difficult when one has to listen to someone who is dictating all the time. Supriyaji ( Supriya Pathak), who plays my mother-in-law, is like a terror," says Sanaya.
For Sanaya's male lead, Anuj Sachdeva, the biggest challenge was to underplay his heavy Punjabi accent and speak like a typical Gujarati boy next door. Anuj, however, perfected the art with a little help from his Gujarati friends and co-stars. "First of all, I had to stop saying 'yun' , that typical Delhi word. I took about a week to change my accent and tone," says Anuj, who replaced Farhan Khan as the male protagonist on the show a few weeks ago. The actor was initially worried whether the audience would accept him as Manav (his character). "But after the feedback I have got so far, I feel positive," he says.
Chhanchhan airs Monday to Thursday at 9 pm on Sony Entertainment Television.

Manav and Chhanchhan off for a honeymoon!
Manav and Chanchhan to go to forest for thier honeymoon,while a third person creates a rift in their relationship.
Sony TV's Chhanchhan just witnessed marriage ceremony of Chhanchhan (Sanaya Irani) and Manav (Anuj Sachdeva). Now its time for them to go for a honeymoon, which will not be an easy task for them.
Our source informs us that, "Manav and Chhanchhan are planning to go for a honeymoon but somehow Umaben (Supriya Pathak) has issues with them going out together and she opposes the two but at the end Manav and Chhanchhan decide to go for a honeymoon at the Gir forest area where they first met and fall in love with each other."
"However the twist in the tale will be that, at the forest Manav will meet his college friend and she happens to love Manav seeing Manav married she will feel sad and insecure."
The source went added, "A girl will soon enter into Manav and Chhanchhan's life and create dispute between the two."
The girl who will create dispute is yet to be cast.
When contacted Anuj Sachdeva about the ongoing track, he confirmed saying, "Manav and Chhanchhan are heading to forest for honeymoon. It will be nice to see them enjoying together at the place they fought."

The Episode starts with Chhan Chhan getting tensed for making the tea. Gomuti tells her don’t worry, I will make the tea. Chhan Chhan says I will make it. She asks for lemon. Kaumudi gives her lemon. Ranjana and Sanjana are shocked.
Manthan, Manek, Mukut and Manav are sharing time, Chhan Chhan comes with the tea. Umaben sees her and laughs. Chhan Chhan greets everyone and gives them tea. Manthan, Manek are shocked to see the lemon tea. Manav holds her hand, Umaben sees this. Babuji comes and everyone greet him. He asks Manthan where is my newspaper, they give him the paper. Babuji asks for cheques and explains Manav to become responsible. He asks Manav to come to office from today. Manthan asks him to learn it soon.
Mukut says Manav where were you last night, Manthan says understand, its new marriage, Kaumudi says we were tired. Chhan Chhan gives him tea. Chhan Chhan says its lemon tea, Mukut says its good. Manthan also likes it, he says its better, refreshing. Umaben says drink it, and taunts. Umaben says western people drink lemon tea. Chhan Chhan gives tea to Kaumudi, she feels happy. She says I will drink later, I have work. Chhan Chhan says first you sit and have tea. Umaben looks at them. Gomuti sits and Mukut leaves. Kaumudi goes after him. Umaben sees Chhan Chhan not able to carry her saree well, she thinks of an idea. Chhan Chhan thinks how do all bahus wear sarees and do household work. Umaben comes to her, and tells her she is not feeling good. She says you can wear slawar kameez, and live without any restriction.
Umaben speaks sweetly to her, she says if you have learnt to carry a saree in your house, you would have not got any trouble, but you are from a modern family, so I want you to think of this house as your mum’s house. Chhan Chhan is so much happy. Umaben leaves from her room.
Umaben comes in the kitchen and Ranjana asks her what to make in lunch, Umaben says ask Chhan Chhan about it, she will tell it. Gomuti says what are you saying like this, Umaben acts saying I have become old. Umaben tells about Chhan Chhan. She makes them against Chhan Chhan. Umaben tells them that Chhan Chhan will be wearing salwar kameez from now on, and this is her wish. Umaben says my house is finished. Ranjana asks Umaben to tell this to Manav. Umaben says no, he loves Chhan Chhan, it would be better if I give the household in Chhan Chhan’s hand, else she will kick me out of the house.
She says you three think what you have to do. Umaben pretends and leaves. Ranjana says it means Chhan Chhan will be doing as she wants, even they have the right to do what she wants. Ranjana talks to Manek about it. Sanjana also thinks of talking to Manthan. She tells Manthan that she wants to talk, she says Chhan Chhan is wearing salwar kameez, even she wants to wear it. Manthan does not hear it. He scolds her. Manthan hears it second time, Ranjana talks to Manek, and says Chhan Chhan will be flaunting the suits now. Manthan says Chhan Chhan will be going against Baa, Sanjana says I will also wear suits. Manthan says let her do, you don’t follow her. He says I’m being late. Umaben hears her bahus arguing with their husbands. Umaben gets happy.
Babuji asks Maansi to sit in car, he will drop her college. Babuji asks Manthan are the cheques ready, he scolds Manthan for writing wrong dates. He says what should I do, its because of Sanjana, he tells Babuji about Manav and Chhan Chhan. He tells Babuji about the partiality done by Umaben. Manek tells him about the salwar kameez issue. Babuji asks Umaben, she says what can I do, she is modern. Babuji gets angry. He says the rules cannot be changed. Babuji says call her, I will tell her, she has to wear saree, if all the bahus are wearing saree. He calls Manav, he comes and asks what happened, Babuji asks Manav to call Chhan Chhan. Manav says she is getting ready, Umaben says let her come.
Precap:
Umaben gives her bahus holiday, saying Chhan Chhan will make the food tonight. Kaumudi feels sorry for Chhan Chhan.

Season two of Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon underway?
TOI has landed up with another piece of exclusive news.
We have learnt from reliable sources that popular show Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon is all set to return with its second season soon.
The show which aired on Star Plus will be back on Life OK and in all possibilities with an entire new cast. Chances are remote that Barun Sobti, who became an overnight sensation as Arnav Singh Raizada and Sanaya Irani, who played Khushi, are busy with Bollywood and daily soap Chhanchhan respectively, will be a part of season two.
The show was extremely popular and had upset a lot of viewers when it shut down abruptly after Barun quit the show for greener pastures. The channel was flooded with mails and messages to revoke the decision of pulling the plug on it.
Informs a source, "Yes, season two of the show is coming soon on Life OK and this time in a grand way. It's going to be dubbed in English as well for international market. It will be a new storyline and a new production house. The channel wants to cash in on the success of season one of the show."
We contacted producer Rajesh Chaddha to comment on the story and he said, "Not that I know of."
